There’s a point in Dinesh D’Souza’s new documentary 2016: Obama’s America when you think to yourself: This is the greatest film ever made. And if its status as the 4th highest-grossing documentary of all time is any indication, the infinite wisdom of the free market nearly agrees.
On its face, this film is a journalistic exploration into the inevitable-dystopian-future-America-under-Sharia-law that Barack Obama’s second term will bring, but on a much deeper level it’s an epic battle over the freedom of all mankind. On the one side is an army of Chitauri warriors led by Thor’s power-hungry “brother” Loki, an orphaned ice giant who was raised on Asgard by Anthony Hopkins. On the other, a rag-tag group of superhero “Avengers” led by S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury. And at the center of the struggle lies the unfathomable power of the Tesseract, a blue cube thing that Barack Obama’s father carved out of a Kenyan rubber tree. But it’s not rubber. It’s a door into Barack Obama’s anti-colonialist, Marxist psyche.
As the plot unfolds, we learn that Iran Man, played ably by Robert Downey Jr., discovered the Tesseract while searching for Obama’s father, Captain Kenya, at the bottom of an Olympic-sized swimming pool. And then some other stuff happens. And then Communist HULK goes crazy on a flying aircraft carrier because you wouldn’t like him when he’s not on welfare. And then Michelle Obama has this clingy leather jumper on, and you’re all fap-fap-fap-fap-fap. And then…well, I don’t want to give away too much of this incredible roller coaster of a documentary, but I will say that it is an absolute must-see for undecided voters and fans of high-flying 3-D action.
Bottom line: It’s a breathtaking spectacle that really makes you think about crushing your skull in with a blunt object. The BEAST gives this gem 41/2 D’Souzas!
